Yazan Khalili: On Love and Other Landscapes

13 March – 14 May 2015

In this exhibition, there is no image of the wall. No roadblocks, nor checkpoints. Nothing to indicate the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian landscape. Just as there is no image neither of the lover who left. What would she do, she had said, with a photograph of the wall after it fell.

Yazan Khalili (b. 1981) was trained as an architect, works as an artist, and is co-owner of the landmark bar Beit Aneeseh in Ramallah. His work has been acquired by the Imperial War Museum, among other prominent collections. He recently relocated to Amsterdam to pursue an MFA.
